About Nimble

What makes us quick, agile and, yes, nimble, as a company? We adapt our content and social media-based process to fit your business–and that’s not empty fluff. It’s inherent in our process.

Here’s the nutshell version of what we do: Take time-honored content gathering techniques, mix them with magazine-quality writing and a well-balanced, yet nuanced, expertise and activity in social media marketing.

We haven’t reinvented the wheel here: man has been interviewing fellow man and scribing the results for others to peruse since clay tablets came into style. We just happen to be able to do just that online and across various social networks while creating engaging content about your business, employees, respective industry and community.

What we do that’s different is take care of it all for you.

You, your employees and your company have a voice. Let us help you find it and responsibly get it out to the world.

Joseph “Jody” Robbins
Nimble Social Media

An ever-active newspaper reporter and magazine writer & editor, Jody has been publishing continuously since he first entered the lottery #’s and weather into the green-screened computer system at Louisville, Kentucky’s “The Courier-Journal” in 1996. Since that inauspicious beginning, gained as a young news clerk immediately after graduating with an English degree from the University of Louisville, he went on to write for newspapers in his home state of Kentucky, then in Colorado and Montana (first at “The Steamboat Pilot” in Steamboat Springs, Colo., then at “The Whitefish Pilot” outside of Glacier National Park in Whitefish, Mont.).

It was during that time spent writing, working at restaurants and snowboarding & kayaking that he began to write for national magazines, beginning with a feature piece in the Dec. 31, 1999, issue of “Wine Spectator” magazine. Gaining a taste for it, he would go on to publish in more than 50 different magazines and newspapers, including: Robb Report, Wine & Spirits, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Sun-Times, WHERE Chicago, Transworld Snowboarding Business, to name a few. His subject matter knows no bounds; he’s written about food and wine extensively but also about adventure sports, travel, arts & entertainment, nightlife, and–to his great chagrin–women’s shoes one time. The interview he did with human genome mapper Craig Ventner was a much prouder moment.

He has now turned that extensive background in content and managing editorial plans and staffs online. The former Director of Editorial & New Media at Concierge Preferred magazine, a Chicago visitor industry publication, he brings a well-rounded knowledge of the total online media landscape to the table. Social media; web development coordination; SEO; website=business goal consulting; and creative answers to most questions are on tap.

When not populating the web with great Google results, he spends time with his wife and two daughters; swears he’s getting a dog sooner rather than later; likes to lead an active outdoor life; reads lot of history and, yes, he did play D&D in high school. If you don’t know what that is, it’s for the better; if you do, don’t hold it against him.
